The Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection and deterrence. CFEs are trained to identify the warning signs and red flags that indicate evidence of fraud and fraud risk. CFEs around the world help protect the global economy by uncovering fraud and implementing processes to prevent fraud from occurring in the first place.
CFEs have a unique set of skills that are not found in any other career field or discipline; they combine knowledge of complex financial transactions with an understanding of methods, law, and how to resolve allegations of fraud.
National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI) – Member, CLI
NALI’s primary focus is to advance the art and science of legal investigation through continuing education on civil and criminal law and technology, providing its members with the tools necessary to protect their clients’ business interests.
The National Association of Legal Investigators, Inc. sets national certification standards for legal investigators and confers the designation of Certified Legal Investigator® upon those who meet professional requirements and who successfully pass stringent written and oral examinations. For this reason, the designation Certified Legal Investigator® is a most honored and sought-after credential. Once conferred, Certified Legal Investigators® must advance their professional careers by earning continuing educational credits and by maintaining the high standards of the Certified Legal Investigator® Program.
Our president, Mark Murnan, was awarded the Certified Legal Investigator (CLI) designation in 2009, and maintains his certification through continuing education and annual training.
Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI) – Past President/Member
Since 1994, FALI has served as the leading advocate for professional investigators and licensed agencies throughout the State of Florida. Our commitment to professional conduct, ethics and education is the foundation of our organization. Advancing and protecting the investigative profession is what we do. FALI’s goal in bringing investigators together creates unity and builds strength in our profession.
Complete Legal Investigations’ president, Mark Murnan, is the past president of FALI and served for many years on the FALI board of directors in various positions.
National Defender Investigator Association (NDIA), Member
The National Defender Investigator Association (NDIA) is the only national organization to represent a constituency dedicated solely to the investigative arm of indigent criminal defense.
The NDIA also has had long established liaisons with the National Legal Aid and Defender Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. The NDIA also maintains close contact and liaisons with a number of other Defender Associations and Defender Investigator Associations across the country and has provided input and leadership toward the establishment of these types of organizations in a number of states.
National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) – Member, Certified Paralegal (CP)
NALA leads the paralegal profession by providing a voluntary certification program, continuing legal education, and professional development programs for all paralegals.
NALA is the leading paralegal association in the U.S. Its mission is to provide continuing education and professional development programs to all paralegals. NALA provides current information about the profession, continuing education programs (publications, courses and webinars), networking opportunities, professional certification programs, occupational survey reports, and publications to help paralegals excel in the workplace. NALA is a non-profit organization, 501(c)(6), representing more than 18,000 paralegals, who are individual members or members of NALA affiliated associations.
Wendy Murnan has been a NALA certified paralegal (CP) since 2001, passing a rigorous two-day certification examination. Continuing legal education is also required to maintain this certification.
The Florida Bar, Member – Florida Registered Paralegal
The Florida Bar is the statewide professional organization of lawyers. The rules regulating the Florida Bar are “To inculcate in its members the principles of duty and service to the public, to improve the administration of justice, and to advance the science of jurisprudence.”
Wendy Murnan has been a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP) with The Florida Bar since 2008, meeting the educational and paralegal work experience requirements needed for this certification. Continuing legal education is also required to maintain this certification.
Palm Beach County Bar Association, Member – Paralegal and Company Event Sponsor and Supporter
The Palm Beach County Bar Association was founded in 1922. The mission is to serve its members, foster professionalism and enhance the public’s understanding and awareness of the legal system. We are very active in providing numerous public service activities and giving back to the community.
