Our staff is bi-lingual and comprised of former federal and state investigators, board certified criminal defense investigators, Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE®), a Certified Legal Investigator (CLI), and a Certified Paralegal (CP®). Working as a team, we provide our clients with an adjunct staff that works cooperatively with your law firm, ensuring that your case is properly prepared to advance your client’s representation.
Mark J. Murnan (President, Chief Investigator) is a Certified Legal Investigator (CLI®) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE®). Mark served in the United States Air Force, where he attended the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio of Monterey. He was subsequently assigned to the Air Force Security Service (now the Electronic Security Command) to an airborne unit at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan, and to Offutt Air Force Base, Omaha, Nebraska. He received his Bachelor degree in criminal justice at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Mark is a former staff investigator for the Federal Public Defender, Southern District of Florida. He has over 35 years of investigative experience in both the public and private sectors. He has assisted counsel in cases of securities and wire fraud, money laundering, drug trafficking, murder, sexual battery, and gang-related crimes. As one of only a few Certified Legal Investigators in the country, Mark has also assisted civil counsel in the litigation of negligence cases, wrongful death claims, premises and products liability cases, and estate and probate matters. He has written extensively for professional journals and lectured on investigative procedures in the classroom and at conferences. He is the past president of the Florida Association of Licensed Investigators (FALI), one of the largest private investigator associations in the country. He is the former Regional Director for the southeast United States for the National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI). Attorneys are confident in the successful resolution of their cases when Mark assists and supervises the investigation of complex criminal and civil cases, in both state and federal court. Wendy E. Murnan, LPI, CP, FRP – Vice-President; Florida Licensed Private Investigator; Certified Paralegal
Wendy is a private investigator and nationally certified paralegal. She is also a registered paralegal with The Florida Bar. Wendy has over 40 years of experience in the legal arena. Before entering the private field, Wendy worked 16 years for nationally renowned attorney, Robert M. Montgomery, Jr., in West Palm Beach, Florida, as his private paralegal and assistant. She assisted with many landmark cases while working with Montgomery, including Kimberly Bergalis vs. David Acer, DDS; a case in which a dentist infected five of his patients with the AIDS virus; and State of Florida vs. American Tobacco Co., a case which resulted in a billion dollar settlement for the plaintiff. Wendy became an expert in handling and organizing large document cases. Her knowledge of civil procedures and the issues involved in complex litigation make her a valuable asset to our attorneys preparing for trial. As an investigator, Wendy specializes in research, including complex background and asset investigations. Her “scorched earth” due diligence has uncovered invaluable information for our attorney clients over the years. Ninoska “Nina” Martinez is a well known private investigator in Miami-Dade, Broward & Monroe counties. She is a native of Venezuela, and has studied law at Santa Maria University in Venezuela. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Science with a concentration in Forensics and her MBA from American Intercontinental University in Weston, FL. Nina regularly attends conferences and seminars locally and internationally.
Nina is the CEO of International Undercover Investigators Agency. She has experience in criminal defense investigations, healthcare and Medicare fraud, and mortgage fraud. Nina was instrumental in the investigation that exonerated “the wrong Julio Gomez,” a migrant worker who was wrongly accused of a violent homicide in West Palm Beach. Nina’s strong interview and investigative skills developed critical information that lead the prosecutor to dismiss charges against Mr. Gomez and to secure his release from custody. info@completelegalinv.com
